A few words about
What We Do
Our projects
Our organization is involved in numerous sustainable projects in the interest of nation.
Rural Upliftment
The biggest challenge that the rural communities face currently is that of accessibility in terms of Education, Infrastructure , Manufacturing technologies etc. A lot of Self Help Groups currently are engaged in ensuring accessibility of credit creation programmes in the rural community. It is crucial to note that the rural urban divide currently is at an all time high. This is problematic for a couple of reasons including the rich poor disparity that the country faces at large. Therefore, we need to ensure that they get access to infrastructural development in terms of proper transport facilities, cold storage facilities, educational opportunities, development of the rural manufacturing sector etc. to ensure that the money flow remains smooth and the community at large gets a level playing field.
Climate Change
Many people think climate change is a hoax and a “made-up” issue of the modern world, but little do they know that this issue is more urgent than they even realize. The first question that crosses one’s mind when we hear of this term is that “How am I responsible for melting of glaciers or overall rise of average temperature?” and to some degree it is a privileged question to ask oneself. It is because every second as we sit cozily in our rooms there is someone in the Amazon rainforest, in Antarctica or the indigenous tribes of any island or coastal region who is facing the brunt of climate change. The reality is that every time we choose to ignore public transport for the luxury of our car, every time a politician is bribed by corporations to let go of the harmful emissions by their factories, we are just getting closer and closer to the end of our only home. Strong policy level advocacy is needed to curb and prevent catastrophes which can be caused by climate change in the near future. Hence, collective action is our only hope in this fight against climate change.
Women Empowerment
Lack of epistemic access and being conditioned to adhere to “societal norms” is the biggest challenge to women empowerment currently. Patriarchy has conditioned women to ignore their self identity for it’s toxic demands. Hence in order to empower women we need to ensure we oppose all forms of socio economic inequalities which disproportionately affect women. This includes providing them with structural support so that we can help them rise from the vulnerabilities society has put them in. Legislative equality in terms of ensuring equal employment opportunities, changing the corporate culture, provision of maternity leaves etc. should be advocated for at all costs. Moreover, making the law enforcement agencies more stringent and cognizant of issues faced by women is the need of the hour. This includes that we ensure there is an equitable representation of women in the police forces and as lawyers as well, furthermore we also ensure that crimes against women are punished more harshly to create deterrence in this misogynistic society such that we are able to ensure a significant enough reduction in such violations. Therefore, directing socio-political capital towards legal representation, legislative equality and opposing socioeconomic inequalities is the way to go about to achieve empowerment for women.
Accessibility to clean drinking water
Water scarcity refers to a region’s inability to meet its potable water needs due to a lack of the availability of clean water resources. It affects every continent and around 2.8 billion people on the planet for at least one month each year. Over 1.2 billion people do not have access to safe drinking water. Water stress, water shortages or deficits, and water crises are all examples of water scarcity. This issue persists in regions irrespective of the social and economical strength of nations and states within them. For example, In India’s national capital, New Delhi, although the local government boasts the highly successful network of water pipelines, there are certain slums that receive water not fit for drinking and cooking food. This poses a huge problem for people especially who cannot afford expensive water-filters and the exorbitant maintenance costs that ensue.
